And undo that symlink before it's forgotten about and causes more trouble. Yes, please share the full output from Audacity as well. What is the output of emerge -verbose -info media-sound/audacity media-video/ffmpeg? Exactly what output does audacity produce telling you about this problem?ĭepending on your profile, /usr/lib is probably 32-bit, so you cannot use /usr/lib64 to satisfy things in it. I thought of filing it as a bug, but I would rather have it verified here than just bother the bug people. Anyone else having this problem? Any suggestions? I made a symbolic link to it, however, it still didn't find it. My ffmpeg (libavformat.so) is installed in /usr/lib64. I further note that when I go in to locate it, it will only look in /usr/lib. I should note that I recenlty upgraded to ffmpeg-6 on this computer because the final blocker for me was updated. It has ffmpeg version 6.0-r1 My laptop has 4.4.4-r2 and it finds it just fine.
